Easter

We spent Easter with my parents in Hunt.  We had a wonderful time.  It was a long car ride for Charlotte.  She was great for the four hours to Kerrville, but then she was done with being in her car seat.  Luckily we only had about 30 minutes left of our trip!  Meredith was great for the drive.  She got to watch movies in the car and pick out a snack at Bucees!  What three year old wouldn't want to do that?

We went to Fredericksburg on Friday for a little shopping.  On Saturday we went swimming and dyed Easter eggs.  Meredith had so much fun hunting for eggs on Sunday.  We spent hours hiding and finding eggs!

Meredith's Cartwheel!

If you have read this blog you know that Meredith loves gymnastics.  She has been working on her cartwheel for awhile now.  She could do everything except land on both feet.  Yesterday she finally did it.  We are so proud of her and more importantly she is proud of herself.  Here is the video.

Charlotte's Baptism

Charlotte was baptized on Sunday, Feb. 26th at our church, MDUMC.  She was not feeling great in the days leading up to her baptism so Kyle and I were a little nervous.  I am happy to say she was great for the ceremony!  When Dr. Simmons took her she leaned back in his arms to look at us and everyone in the congregation laughed.  It was really cute.  After she was baptized she started to "talk" loudly so I slipped out the back with her while the rest of the family enjoyed a wonderful sermon.

After church we had all of our family over for a luncheon to honor Charlotte on her special day. I am so thankful for all of Liz's (aka Gigi) help the days before the baptism.  She helped me get everything ready, including polishing the silver, ironing the tablecloths and finding napkins that were the perfect shade of pink!  We used her parent's wedding china.  The pattern has beautiful pink flowers on it which was perfect for the occasion.

You can tell by her red eyes that Charlotte is not feeling great.

Nana and Papa gave Charlotte a beautiful gold cross necklace.

 With Mimi and Poppy.

With Granna, Papa, Cousins Audrey and Nicholas, Uncle Kevin and Aunt Lucy.

With Wes, Aunt Mo Mo, Gigi, G'Daddy, Luke and Aunt Sissy.  Luke did not want to take any more pictures!

Wes said he knew Charlotte wanted to take a picture with him.  I think he was right!

Meredith got tired of taking pictures!

Here are some pictures of the decorations!

Valentine's Day

We had a nice Valentine's Day.  Meredith had a party at her school.  I made her a cute shirt with a red heart and pink "M" on it.  Charlotte just wore one of her pink outfits.  Most of her outfits are pink.  Every time Poppy see's her he always says "in pink, of course what else".

This is what I get when I ask her to hold still for a picture!

Getting Caught Up

I am not very good at up-dating our family blog.  I always think that I will have time to post a few pictures while Charlotte is napping, but then life gets in the way.  The next few blog post will cover everything that has been going on for the last few months!

6 Months (and 1 week and 1 day) Already!

I can't believe our precious Charlotte is already 6 months old.  I feel like I just had her. She is such a sweet baby.  I could kiss her sweet little face all day long!  She always has a big smile!  She smiles so big her cheeks make her eyes squint.  She laughs at so many things.  If Meredith walks into the room Charlotte starts to laugh.  Meredith likes to come up with bigger and better "stunts" everyday to make Charlotte laugh harder.  I'm a little worried that Meredith is going to hurt herself with these stunts!

Charlotte is doing so many new things these days.  She can sit up by herself about 90% of the time.  I don't walk too far away because she still tips over every now and then.  When she does lay down she loves to suck her toes.  It is hysterical!  Sometimes she has both feet in her mouth.

She loves her swing outside.

She likes to watch Baby Einstein videos.  She will watch about half of a video, which gives me enough time to do something fun like load the dishwasher or do laundry.  I am convinced that the "experts" that say children should not watch any TV before the age of two do not have any children!  It is not like I put my girls in front of the TV and let them watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta all day, it's Baby Einstein!  Here she is chewing on Sophie the giraffe while watching Baby Noah.

She likes to help us feed her.  Sometimes she grabs the spoon right out of our hand.  You can tell by her cheeks that she does not miss a meal!  We will start working on eating little puffs soon.

It took longer than we had expected to have our sweet girl, but she was so worth the wait!  We love you Charlotte Conley.
